Rebuilding Service - Mercedes Instrument Clusters
Rebuilding Service - Mercedes Instrument Clusters
This service allows you to send in your classic Mercedes-Benz instrument cluster for a full electronic refresh and cosmetic restoration. Most models from the late 1960s through the mid-1990s are covered.
Please note: This service is not available for 2000+ models or clusters with digital displays.
What’s Included:
– Full inspection and refresh of internal electronics
– Functional testing of all gauges and indicator lamps
– Needle repainting for improved visibility and aesthetics
– Replacement of all backlighting bulbs with incandescent bulbs or optional upgrade to safe and brighter LEDs
Optional Add-Ons – Odometer Gear Replacement:
Odometer issues are common in these units. If needed, I offer gear replacement using high-quality gears from a manufacturer I’ve trusted for over 10 years — with zero failures reported. If you opt for no gear replacement and I found that it needed I will contact you and go over the details and specifics before proceeding.
How It Works:
After your order is placed, detailed shipping instructions will be emailed to you. Please pack your cluster carefully to prevent damage in transit. Once received, typical turnaround time is 3-4 weeks subject to work load.
Common Issues We Address:
– Odometer stopped working
– Dim or flickering backlights
– Sticking, erratic, or dead gauges
– Worn or faded needles
Questions?
Not sure if your cluster qualifies? Email me at Info@CruiseControlRepair.com with your vehicle year/model and a photo of the cluster if possible.
Notes & Terms:
Due to the age of these components and their unknown history, this service is provided as-is without warranty or liability. I use proven techniques and high-quality parts, and many of the units I’ve rebuilt are still on the road today — some for over a decade+..
